Two engineers of "Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority" (TCRA) carried out an informative visit to the High Authority for Audiovisual Communication, from November 28th to December 02nd , 2016. Their mission was mainly focused on the developed by the HACA (HMS) system, « HACA MEDIAS SOLUTIONS » for monitoring audiovisual programs.

MsAminaLemriniElouahabi, President of the HACA and Mr. Abdeljalil El Hammoumi, HACA’s Deputy Director General have received the Tanzanian delegation members, during their visit. The meeting represented a prompt opportunity to evoke the strong cooperation relations that links the HACA with the TCRA, in both bilateral level and within the framework of the Network of African Communication Regulatory Authorities (RIARC).

During their visit, the engineers of the Tanzanian regulator held several meetings with HACA departments sharing their same interest, such as: “Information Systems Unit”, “Programs monitoring”, “International Cooperation” “Technical Infrastructure and Technology watch” and “Studies and Development”.

Information and explanations have been provided to the visitors both on HMS solution system (conception, components, functionalities, applications, etc) and on ways intended to result its use by the TCRA, in case of formal demand. This comes within the framework of South/South general strong cooperation prioritized and applied by the HACA towards its counterparts in Africa.

It should be noted that two high-level managers from audiovisual contents Monitoring Department in TCRA have conducted a first informative visit to the HACA, from April 28th to May 2nd, 2014, in order to explore Audiovisual programs monitoring device in general, and political pluralism in particular, in the view of Tanzanian general elections, intended to be held in October 2015.
